Although Angel Tree 2020 looked a lot different this year due to the pandemic, H.O.P.E. continued its partnership with the Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church by safely providing Christmas gifts to 45 children from 20 families with incarcerated parents in the metro Detroit area.
H.O.P.E. partners with the Metropolitan Detroit Diaper Bank to provide diapers to needy mothers and families in the Detroit community.
Soar Detroit provides literacy tutoring, sports, and camps, to foster life-changing relationships and help kids flourish. H.O.P.E. partners with Soar Detroit to provide training for reading tutors.
H.O.P.E. provides resources for community members to knowledgeably apply for jobs such as skilled worker training in the automotive industry.
H.O.P.E. partnered with SouthEast Catholic Charities and CRU Inner City to distribute 1,000 boxes of fresh food and vegetables at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit on Wednesday June 17th. Over 25 volunteers from H.O.P.E., Tabernacle and CRU helped unload the boxes and distribute them to over 20 charitable organizations who then distributed them in their own communities around Metro Detroit. H.O.P.E. is looking forward to similar food drives in the near future
